چکیده
The Harmonic Cancellation Technique (HCT) is a modulation technique able to reduce the output voltage THD in Auxiliary Railway Power Supplies which supply both a linear and a well-known non linear load, helping the manufacturer to achieve the output voltage THD specifications. It is based on the pre-distortion of the inverter output voltage, through the analytical determination of the IGBTs switching events. So, along this paper the limitations of the available solutions space for the HCT is presented, along with some design parameters which may help to enlarge it. Streszczenie. Technika redukcja harmonicznych (HCT) jest metodą modulacji umożliwiającą zmniejszenie wartości współczynnika THD w napięciu wyjściowym trakcyjnego źródła potrzeb własnych, zasilającego zarówno odbiorniki liniowe jak i dobrze znane odbiorniki nieliniowe. Metoda ta, umożliwiająca producentom osiąganie wymaganego w specyfikacji współczynnika THD, bazuje na ocenie odkształcenia napięcia wyjściowego falownika, poprzez analityczne wyznaczenie chwil przełączeń IGBT. W artykule przedstawiono ograniczenia techniki HCT oraz kilka parametrów konstrukcyjnych, umożliwiających rozszerzenie możliwości jej zastosowania. Thermo-mechanical nonlinear vibration analysis of fluid-conveying structures subjected to different boundary conditions using Galerkin-Newton-Harmonic balancing method
The development of mathematical models for describing the dynamic behaviours of fluid conveying pipes, micro-pipes and nanotubes under the influence of some thermo-mechanical parameters results into nonlinear equations that are very difficult to solve analytically. In cases where the exact analytical solutions are presented either in implicit or explicit forms, high skills and rigorous mathemat...
متن کاملCoupled BE-FE Scheme for Three-Dimensional Dynamic Interaction of a Transversely Isotropic Half-Space with a Flexible Structure
The response of structures bonded to the surface of a transversely isotropic half-space (TIHS) under the effect of time-harmonic forces is investigated using a coupled FE-BE scheme. To achieve this end, a Finite Element program has been developed for frequency domain analysis of 3D structures, as the first step. The half-space underlying the structure is taken into consideration using a Boundar...
متن کاملOPTIMAL DESIGN OF STEEL MOMENT FRAME STRUCTURES USING THE GA-BASED REDUCED SEARCH SPACE (GA-RSS) TECHNIQUE
This paper proposes a GA-based reduced search space technique (GA-RSS) for the optimal design of steel moment frames. It tries to reduce the computation time by focusing the search around the boundaries of the constraints, using a ranking-based constraint handling to enhance the efficiency of the algorithm. This attempt to reduce the search space is due to the fact that in most optimization pro...
متن کاملFundamental Steady state Solution for the Transversely Isotropic Half Space
Response of a transversely isotropic 3-D half-space subjected to a surface time-harmonic excitation is presented in analytical form. The derivation of the fundamental solutions expressed in terms of displacements is based on the prefect series of displacement potential functions that have been obtained in the companion paper by the authors. First the governing equations are uncoupled in the cyl...

It is the purpose of this paper to introduce a computer software that is developed for the analysis of general multi degree of freedom rotor bearing systems with non-linear support elements. A numerical-analytical method for the prediction of steady state periodic response of large order nonlinear rotor dynamic systems is addressed which is based on the harmonic balance technique. By utilizing ...
